I love to eat, so I know a thing or two about local eateries…

Crescent City grill

Crescent City Grill is as solid as a rock when it comes to consistent service, flavor, and selection. Owned by Robert St. John, Hattiesburger extraordinaire, this spot offers something for everyone! I usually order a seafood pasta in a cajun cream sauce and my husband is sure to order the fried shrimp. It’s hard to convey how delicious this place is, but I suggest just starting at the top of the menu and working your way down the whole thing. Then you’ll have to go back because their seasonal offerings change all the time.

This is where I went on my first date with my husband, and we return here time and time again because it always delivers.

sully’s tavern

Another spot with menu selections sure to please everyone in your party, Sully’s is a staple in our restaurant rotation. Now located in Hattiesburg AND Petal, Sully’s serves lunch and dinner with flavor and style.
I highly recommend the “Buffalo Chicken Sandwich” (I think it’s the best sandwich in town) and my husband would say “go at lunch so you can get the beef tips”. Their beef tips and burgers are actually made from trimmings from their amazing steaks, so it’s not your mama’s blue plate we’re taking about.
Whether you want to stop off for a cold drink or celebrate your anniversary with a USDA Prime steak, Sully’s is sure to please. Oh, and try a fish special if you go at dinner - they’re always perfection.

tbones records & cafe

When I’m out on a long day of showing property to out of state clients, I always stop at TBones for lunch. This eclectic cafe serves everything from yummy salads to gourmet paninis, and you can browse the vinyl and books while you wait for your meal!
I recommend the Moo-siana (roast beef with bell peppers, melted cheese, and garlic aioli) - and grab a rice crispy treat while you’re at the counter!
Coffee lovers will swoon for their extensive selection of roasts, and music lovers should just ask for Mik and strike up a friendship because that guy’s the bomb.com!
